FAQ

DID YOU MAKE ALL THIS?

Why yes I did! Right now Citizens Crochet is run, owned, and operated by Avery Tronson (that's me to the right). I hand crochet every item in the shop. My dream is to expand to the point where I can create a U.S. based crochet collective filled with incredible artists. Fair wages, good healthcare and solid work for artists who don't want to deal with becoming a small business owner.

Even the Kits?

Yup! I design, film videos for, hand pack, and create every learn to crochet kit I sell. All of this work is done in the United States. Most other learn to crochet kits are manufactured overseas for dirt cheap then sold at a high markup to the consumer. My goal here at Citizens Crochet is to boost my local economy and create excellent jobs for excellent humans.

What's Everything Made Out OF?

Almost all of our products are made out of chenille, polyester, or a combination of the two. We use these products for two reasons. 1. Durability and 2. Machine Washability. Things get messy. It's easy to spill on or drop a plushie and we want you to have a friend for life. That means every plushie can be machine washed on cold and laid flat to dry. Additionally, all of our yarn comes from sources that rigorously test their products to make sure they are safe even for the smallest of us. Just remember that safety eyes are not recommended for children under 3 as they can cause a choking hazard.
